Evergreen is dedicated to making cities flourish. Since 1991, we’ve been hard at work, transforming spaces into great places sothat communities can thrive. We believe that by connecting people, natural and built worlds we can enable Canadians to do great things that will shape our cities for the better.
By day James works as a communications consultant: now spearheading EcoAnalytics, an innovative market research venture on behalf of Canada’s environmental movement; and serving as Senior Policy Advisor to the National Zero Waste Council. A former journalist (Montreal Gazette, CBC Radio, Independent (London, England)) with broad experience in environmental campaigns and international public health, other clients have included the UBC Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies, Ecojustice, David Suzuki Foundation, World Health Organization, and German Technical Cooperation (GIZ). By night (and weekends) “Jim” is a terrible keener — cycling, gardening, gassing with his family —as well as co-author of the first Project Green Bloc, which he spearheaded in collaboration with Evergreen.
